On Friday the 6th of OctoberShow Racism the Red Card will hold its third annual Wear Red Day. It is a day of national action which encourages schools, businesses, councils and individuals to wear red and make a donation to help facilitate the delivery of anti-racism education for young people and adults throughout Scotland.
We are delighted that Dumfries & Galloway Council are supporting the campaign and taking part in this year’s Wear Red Day.
Council Leader Elaine Murray said: “Being inclusive is a priority for our Council. Racism is simply unacceptable and I’m proud to show it the red card.”
Depute Leader Rob Davidson said: “It’s vital to educate young people that diversity should be celebrated, that we must treat everyone with dignity and respect, and that racism won’t be tolerated.”
Show Racism the Red Card would like to thank Dumfries and Galloway council for their support in this year’s Wear Red Day.
