During October and November, our staff delivered 4 events funded by the Welsh Government
Following on from successful conferences delivered by us on the 9th and 11th February 2016, we provided additional support to Education practitioners across Wales thanks to funding from Welsh Government.
The feedback from the above conferences indicated an appetite from attendees for further training on equalities issues, tackling racism incidents in the classroom, also some training around the use of the anti-racism wall hangers which were distributed to primary schools across Wales in 2016.
The training took place during October and November 2016 in Cardiff, Newport, Llanelli and Wrexham. There was a good turnout of delegates at all the 4 events and the feedback suggests they were all very well received, the following topics were covered at the events:-
Recognising and Responding to Racism
Embedding Equality in the Whole School Environment
The Language of Equality
Reflections and Questions
At the end of each event, feedback was collated and the results below highlight the success of each event. Delegates received SRtRC resources and slides following the event
