SRtRC Wales recently invited delegates to come and see their equality training first hand.
“Loved the activities, personal testimonies and really enjoyed the video clip. Very enthusiastic and engaging presenters”
Thursday 10th September was our first ‘Fresh Ideas Event’ held in Wales, and more specifically at the Marriott Hotel Cardiff. The event was an opportunity for SRtRC Wales to showcase our repertoire of services to HR and Corporate Social Responsibility Managers of South Wales businesses. As it was our first event of its kind we are very pleased to say that 20 delegates attended.
The idea behind the event was to inform local organisations of the wide variety of services we now offer (including Primary & Secondary school Anti-Racism Training, Customised Corporate Equality Training and Initial Teacher Training), and to allow them to sample the fun and engaging activities that form part of our workshops.
The event was very well received, with a highlight being our Patron Colin Charvis delivering a passionate talk on his experiences working with SRtRCWales, and why he believes in supporting such a worthwhile cause. The delegates thoroughly enjoyed being able to talk with him, and ask him questions on his incredible career and experiences.
The feedback for the day was overwhelmingly positive, with 100% of delegates rating the overall event as excellent or very good. One of the delegates commented, “The taster workshop was excellent and provoked interesting discussion”
SRtRCWales are absolutely thrilled with the results of the day, and are looking forward to building new partnerships with organisations around Wales. We would like to thank each delegate for giving their time to attend, and we look forward to working with you all.
