Overview of educational work delivered by SRtRC Education teams across England

The North-East and South-East Education teams have been delivering educational workshops throughout England during the period of May, June and July.
Throughout the months of May, June and July the Show Racism the Red Card (England) Education teams worked to collectively deliver engaging and informative workshops and events across England:
102 hours of workshop activities, excluding assemblies and fun fitness sessions
1492 pupils participated
11 primary schools
7 secondary schools
231 hours of workshop activities, excluding assemblies and fun fitness sessions

NORTH EAST EDUCATION TEAM
In May, the North East the Education team delivered 44 workshops which is
75 hours of workshop activities to 1083 pupils from 8 primary schools and 7 secondary schools.
In June, the team delivered 92 workshops whih is 197 hours of workshop activities to 2483 pupils participating from 25 primary schools, 3 middle schools, 1 secondary school and 1 college.
And in July, the team delivered 53 workshops which is 106 hours of workshop activities to1283 pupils participating from 5 primary schools and 7 secondary schools.
SOUTH EAST EDUCATION TEAM
In May, the Southern region Education team delivered 14 workshops which is
27 hours of workshop activities to 409 pupils participating from 3 primary schools.
In June, the team delivered 72 workshops which is 129 hours of workshop activities to 1914 pupils participating from 15 primary schools and 3 secondary schools
The South East team also took a trip to Germany to deliver SRtRC anti-racism workshops to young people (photo) who live on Ministry of Defence bases. The team received wonderful feedback from the teachers for their motivational and inspiring workshops, “Thank you for an excellent day yesterday - the children had a great day and got lots out of it. We have also had a very complimentary email from a parent - which shows that the message is getting home!”

In July, the South East team delivered 55 workshops which is 92 hours of workshop activities to 1538 pupils from 9 primary schools and 1 secondary school
In addition, the South East team worked with a coach from Charlton Athletic to deliver a series of inspirational workshops, focused around themes of inclusion and equality, to the young people from the Horizons Primary Academy.
Some of the excellent feedback from teachers from Horizons Primary Academy included, “Just to say how much Horizon enjoyed the workshop. The kids seemed really engaged and learnt a lot from it!”
