Anti-racism charity Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) are offering businesses and organisations a free workplace consultation aimed at introducing the work of the campaign and highlighting the partnership and training opportunities available.
Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is the UK’s anti-racism educational charity and was established in January 1996. The organisation utilises the high-profile status of football and football players to help tackle racism in society.
The campaign began with a £50 donation from the then Newcastle United FC goalkeeper Shaka Hislop. Shaka and other professional footballers at the club such as John Beresford and Les Ferdinand were soon visiting schools around the North East with the campaign and answering young people’s questions about racism.
From these early beginnings SRtRC has grown into a campaign that seeks to educate about racism in a variety of different ways.
