Are you an up and coming filmmaker with an interest in social justice?
Thanks to sponsorship from the Educational Institute of Scotland, Show Racism the Red Card Scotland wish to film a number of short interviews which capture the experiences, both positive and negative, of Scotland’s migrant communities. This will be used in our education work to inform and challenge young people.
Excerpts may also be featured in an educational film currently being made by SRtRC England featuring stories from migrants from across the UK. The film will be used extensively throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
If you are a filmmaker with an interest in providing a voice to those all too often not heard in this much debated subject we’d like to hear from you.
-To film a number of individuals who have moved to
-To edit the interviews into short engaging excerpts (no more than 3-5 mins each) to tell their stories – both positive and negative.
The interviews will not draw any conclusions but provide stimulation for discussion about why people move to other countries and the challenges of doing so.
-Our preferred format is HD.
It is expected that the successful bidder will have their own or access to filming and editing equipment.
The film should be completed and delivered on the 31st March 2015.
The budget for the project is £1,000 and inclusive of any equipment hire and travel expenses.
Please provide us with a project timeline, costings and at least a five minute example of your past work to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 9th January 2015.
