Manisha Tailor subject to racist remarks from individual after being nominated for an award for community work.

Show Racism the Red Card worker and level 3 football coach Manisha Tailor has been branded a ‘choc-ice’ and an ‘uncle Tom’ by an abusive user on Twitter.
The racist language was used in reference to Manisha’s nomination for an ‘Asian Achievers Award by Asian UK magazine.
Tailor also works for Middlesex County FA Centre of Excellence and is an academy scout for Brentford Football Club, as well as working with the Rachel Yankey Football Programme as a schools coach.
A spokesperson for Show Racism the Red Card said “We are shocked and saddened that Manisha has been the subject of racism on Twitter, although we are not wholly surprised given the proliferation of racist language used on the platform.”
“Unfortunately, this case represents another example of an individual believing that they can circumvent the law by using racist language and acting in a discriminatory way.”
“We have spoken to Manisha and will continue to support her in any way we can”
The incident has been reported to anti-discrimination campaign Kick It Out.
