The TUC with unionlearn and Show Racism the Red Card are hosting the above event as a unique opportunity to learn about racism in the workplace and how to effectively challenge it.
The event will be a blend of talks from high profile anti racism campaigners, commentators and trade unionists including; Owen Jones from The Guardian (TBC), Paul Raven from the PFA and TUC president Mohammed Taj. Attendees will also be able to participate in workshops.
The day will culminate in a Question and Answer Panel made up of ex professional footballers that work with Show Racism the Red Card including: John Anderson, Gary Bennett, Olivier Bernard, Trevor Benjamin, Dean Gordon, Richard Offiong and Steve Howey along with TUC members.
On the day, 50 Year 10 students will join the afternoon session and will discuss exploring racism and the importance of trade unions in today’s society.
