Kim Little and Jennifer Beattie become Ambassadors for the campaign in Scotland
“Kim and Jennifer are great additions to the campaign and will be invaluable in promoting our anti-racism and anti-sectarianism messages, inspiring young people and society to safely challenge racism and sectarianism.
As a campaign it has been a priority for us to encourage more women role models to get involved and promote our important messages. Therefore, Kim and Jennifer being proactively involved in the campaign, attending events and engaging with young people will be invaluable moving forward and we are really looking forward to working with them. ”
Amanda Peebles, Show Racism the Red Card
Show Racism the Red Card is delighted that Kim Little and Jennifer Beattie have agreed to support the campaign in Scotland. Kim and Jennifer currently play for Arsenal Ladies and have represented Scotland at Senior International Level.
Kim Little said: "I am really looking forward to becoming an ambassador for the Show Racism the Red Card campaign and look forward to supporting and working with the campaign in Scotland. In today’s society it is vital that people in particular our youth are educated about racism and other social issues so they can acknowledge what is acceptable and appropriate behaviour. The work the SRtRC campaign does plays an instrumental part in achieving this awareness."
Jennifer Beattie said: "I am delighted to be named as a Scottish Ambassador and looking forward to working and getting involved with such an important campaign, in order to help stamp out racism in football and society."
