We held an event with Welsh Premier League side Airbus UK FC.
Our Welsh team visited the Airfield to hold an event with the “Wing Makers”.
Young people from Hafod-y-Wern Primary School and Saltney Ferry CP School attended the stadium for the day for our club event.
Pupils took part in an educational workshop delivered by education worker Chris Stokes.
During the workshop the young people took the chance to make additional notes adding to the research they had done prior to the event to aid in the production of their newspaper articles they will be writing when back at school after the event.
Manager Andy Preece and first team player Glenn Rule attended for the role play press conference joined by Campaign Worker Jason Webber.
The young people posed questions on racism in football and society to the panel who faced some tough intelligent questions.
The best asked questions on the day won match tickets and SRtRC goodie bags.
We would like to thank the schools for attending the event and the club along with all its players for supporting the day.
We will be continuing to work with the club and will be working with the club to hold an event again next season.
This event was funded by the FAW, the Big Lottery Wales and the Welsh Government.
