We visited Welsh Premier League Champions TNS for our event at The Venue at Park Hall Stadium
Young people from Rhosymedre Community Primary School and Arddleen School attended Park Hall stadium for the day for our club event with Welsh Premier League side The New Saints FC.
Pupils took part in an educational workshop delivered by education worker Chris Stokes and former professional player Christian Roberts.
During the workshop the young people took the chance to make additional notes adding to the research they had done prior to the event to aid in the production of their newspaper articles they will be writing when back at school after the event.
The afternoon session was supported by the whole TNS FC squad who watched the new campaign DVD and had photos with the young people and the Welsh Premier League Trophy.
Players Scott Ruscoe, Steven Evans, Mike Wildle and manager Craig Harrison were joined by Christian Roberts for the role play press conference.
The young people posed questions on racism in football and society to the panel who faced some tough intelligent questions.
The best asked questions on the day won by Harvey from Rhosymedre and Cerys from Arddleen schools won a signed TNS FC shirt, a club scarf and SRtRC goodie bags.
Every pupil received match tickets for this weekend’s Welsh Cup match against Rhyl FC.
We would like to thank the schools for attending the event and the club along with all its players for supporting the day.
