Llanelli and Newtown promoted our anti racism message when the sides met at Stebonheath Park recently.
Last weekend prior to the Welsh Premier League fixture featuring Llanelli AFC and Newtown FC, both sides held up red cards before the game to promoted their continued stance against racism.
Both clubs have been involved with the campaign in Wales over the last few years and will be holding events again this season along with other initiatives.
This action was organised by Llanelli AFC and arranged in addition to the
up-coming Fortnight of Action that will see players warming up in SRtRC t-shirts.
Campaign Worker Jason Webber said:
“It is fantastic that Llanelli AFC used their own initiative to host this action and highlight our message, both clubs have been keen supporters of the campaign and it is good to see clubs in Wales going beyond than the annual activities, this is something we are hoping catches on with others as a good example for pro active anti racism work.”
We will be producing a Llanelli AFC & Newtown FC Anti Racism squad poster in the coming weeks visit our poster download section for your copy HERE
