You can see the full interview with DJ on our YouTube channel now.
In the interview DJ talks frankly about racism, answering questions about growing up, racism within the game and racism he has faced when applying for jobs in other industries.
DJ recalls a situation where he overheard racism from some of his friends when he was young and talks about the impact it had on him in the interview.
"When I was a kid I can remember mates of mine, they weren't actually racist by saying things to me. It was a funny situation I found myself in actually, I went to my mate's house, I'm not sure if the door was open or if his sister let me in I can't remember. There were a few of my mates in the front room, as I've walked through they've not known I was there or coming ..I've gone through and heard them say something (racist) and I was a bit caught back by it and I though 'wow'. And these are the nicest guys you'll ever meet.... It was just a bit alarming for me."
