Racist chanting sees UEFA take action
The Football Associations of Spain and Russia have been fined by UEFA who found both guilty of "improper conduct" in relation to the conduct of some supporters.
Russian fans made monkey noises at the Czech Republic full-back Theodor Gebre Selassie while Spain fans targeted abuse at the Italy forward Mario Balotelli.
The Russian FA have been fined €30,000 and the Spanish FA have been fined €20,000.
These fines are the latest in a series of racism related incidents at the Euro 2012 tournament which ended last night. In addition to Russia and Spain supporters being fined, Croatia and Germany Football Authorities have also been issued with fines over racist chants and banners.
