Extra time called for schools to take part
Show Racism the Red Card have announced that the deadline for schools to register in the 2012 School Competition (England) has been extended from March 2nd to March 16th.
The decision to allow more time for schools to register was taken after a big increase in registrations followed the news that Manchester United FC will host the Awards Ceremony of the competition on May 3rd.
SRtRC Chief Executive Ged Grebby said "We want to make sure that as many schools as possible are able to take part in this year's competition. Hopefully by extending the registration deadline by 2 weeks we can get a record number of young people producing anti-racism themed artwork, creative writing, music and films."
"We're confident that this year's Awards Ceremony will be extra special and I'm really looking forward to seeing all the entries come in."
