Show Racism the Red Card held its first ever anti-racism and anti-sectarianism educational stadium event with local school pupils at Hampden Park.
To mark the occasion Hall of Fame awards were presented to supporters who's continued commitment to tackling racism over the years has been invaluable.
Awards were presented to the current Scotland Manager Craig Levein, and former Hibernian FC player Michael Weir – both received ‘Hall of Fame’ Awards in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the campaign.
Bill Butler, Campaign Manager of Show Racism the Red Card Scotland, said:
“We are so grateful for the support of so many well known people, without whom the campaign would not be the success it is today. Working with professional footballers as role models has proved to be highly effective in educating young people against racism and sectarianism. And I am delighted that we have marked our first ever educational event at Scotland’s National Stadium by welcoming Craig and Michael into our Hall of Fame.”
