The Homeless World Cup, founded by Mel Young – Schwab Fellow of the World Economic Forum, is a unique, pioneering social enterprise that uses sport as a means to promote social inclusion of homeless and marginalised people.

• It operates through a network of 70+ national partners to support football programs and social enterprise development.
• It celebrates its year-round work running an annual, international football tournament that unites teams of homeless people from countries around the globe.
The tenth edition of the Homeless World Cup annual football tournament will take place in Mexico City in October 2012.
Show Racism the RED Card’s Welsh Campaign will be supporting and following the Welsh team who will be warming up in SRtRC Welsh T-shirts during the tournament.

In what promises to be a great tournament the Mexico City 2012 Homeless World Cup will celebrate a decade of changing the lives of homeless people through football.
Since 2003 the annual competition has been hosted by cities across the world as homeless players unite to celebrate improving their lives forever and spreading global awareness about the issue of homelessness.
The Mexico City 2012 Homeless World Cup tournament will take place at the Plaza de la Constitución, Zócalo, from 6- 14 October 2012.
