Our last event of 2011 was at Latham Park with Welsh Premier league side Newtown AFC
50 young people attended the ground from Hafren Junior School for our second ever all day event with Newtown AFC.
The event started with an anti racism workshop delivered by ex-professional footballer Christian Roberts and Welsh education co-ordinator Simon Richards.

The young people learned about what forms of racism exist and what are stereotypes taking part in interactive games exploring these key messages.
The main event consisted of the young people watching the campaigns DVD while continuing to think of questions to ask the panel of guests for the Q and A session.
Newtown AFC players Zacharia Evans and Kieran Mills-Evans joined Christian Roberts to answer questions from the young people about racism in football and society.

Every pupil were given match tickets for them and their parents for Newtown AFC match against Bangor City this weekend.
Club sec Owen Durbridge spoke about the clubs support for SRtRC by saying:
"Newtown Football Club were delighted to be involved in the Show Racism the Red Card roadshow. To see so many young people from our neighbouring primary school all enjoying themselves on a day away from the classroom, was most heartening, especially when you know that they are learning about a topic that can be pervasive in our game, and our society, if left to go unchecked."
SRtRC will continue to work with the club towards anti racism over the coming months.
Newtown AFC Midfielder Zacharia Evans said: "Racism undermines everything the game stands for and when tolerated its not just the racist or the team losing but football itself"
We would like to thank the club and players Zacharia Evans and Kieran Mills-Evans for supporting the event and all the pupils and teachers at Hafren Junior School.
