Anti-racism and anti-sectarianism community events are taking place throughout Scotland as part of our Fortnight of Action 2011.
Edinburgh South FC will be showing racism and bigotry the red card during this year's Fortnight of Action through the Show Racism the Red Card community grant scheme. The club were inspired by the commitment from the SFA, SPL, SFL, SWPL and SWFL and their teams, to promote football as a sport for all and highlight that racism and sectarianism is not welcome in Scottish football or society, throughout the Fortnight of Action.
Therefore, Edinburgh South FC will also take a stand against racism and sectarianism throughout the Fortnight of Action and replicate many of the actions taking place at football clubs across Scotland. For more details on their activities read their latest 'Red All Over' Newsletter here.
There are various organisations taking action throughout the fortnight including: Queen's Park FC in the Community, UNISON South Ayrshire Branch, Afroscots United FC, Glenrothes Strollers FC, The Honest Men Trust, Youth Inclusive, Govan Youth Information Project, Springburn Nursery School, Bridging the Gap, Sparatns Community Football Academy, Ullapool High School, Bairns Trust, Gryffe High School, United Clydebank Supporters Trust and Central Scotland Racial Equality Council, to name a few.
