Northampton Town FC Appoint Nana as Ambassador
Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi is Northampton Town FC's Named SRtRC Ambassador
Show Racism the Red Card have asked all 92 clubs in the professional Football League structure to appoint a named ambassador to pledge their name to supporting us through the 2011/12 season.
Northampton Town FC have appointed Ghanian born Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi, commonly known as Nana, to fill this role.
Nana started his career with the Chelsea Youth Team, eventually becoming captain. He then signed a professional contract with them in 2007, before moving on to play with Dagenham & Redbridge, Peterbrough United and then, to his current club, Northampton Town. He has also represented England at U16, U17, U18 and U20 levels. When questioned on his commitment to representing England, when they played against Ghana at U20's level, Nana responded "the game will be emotional, but I’m English now and that’s who I want to play for, so there will be no love lost between us."
We look forward to working with Nana and Northampton Town in the coming months!
