SRtRC Wales hold a fun football day at Barry Comprehensive for prize winners

Around 35 pupils from Barry Comprehensive School took part in a brilliant Football Fun Day, run by Show Racism the Red Card. The boys took part in many exciting football activities throughout the day and had a fantastic time!
As part of their prize for our recent schools completion in wales, a Vale of Glamorgan school, Barry Comprehensive, won a ‘Football Fun day!’ The school made a very successful debut in our Schools Competition, winning 2 prizes. Firstly they were crowned as the winners of the new School Display category, after an inspiring project with a Ghanaian School, and then Morgan Dowdoll walked away with the ‘Best Poster’ award for year 7 + for a piece of collaborative work with a Ghanain pupil.
On Wednesday 13th July Show Racism the Red Card held an incredible event in the school that was a huge success. During the day 35 boys who ranged from year 7 – year 10 took part in many football games, coaching and activities as well as a five-a-side football tournament to finish the day. The tournament was great fun and was enjoyed by all the boys and staff!
The boys who won the prize where also awarded a certificate and a football each to congratulate them individually on what success they had in the schools competition in wales. The school did exceptionally well and did brilliantly to win this prize.
