The Scottish FA to Show Racism and Bigotry the Red Card
We are delighted to announce that the Scottish FA have agreed to take action at the Scotland v Denmark Vauxhall International Challenge match on 10th August.
The Scottiah FA will take the following action to highlight their continued support for the anti-racism / anti-sectarian message:
- Launch the new anti-racism / anti-sectarianism wristband at a pre-match press conference
- Highlight their continued support on the Scottish FA website and detail the actions taking place
- Mascot red card action when leading the Scotland team out prior to kick-off
- Anti-racism / anti-sectarian visuals at the game
This will be an invaluable platform for Show Racism the Red Card Scotland, which will reinforce the vital message that there is no place for racism or sectarianism in football or society.
All of the above will mark the beginning of an exciting few months, where we will launch the new wristband and prepare for the Fortnight of Action 2011, which for the first time ever will make a stand against both racism and sectarianism, and see all professional football clubs take action throughout the fortnight.
We believe that it is vital to highlight the anti-sectarian message as well as the anti-racism message at this time, when recent incidents have once agian highlighted the problem of sectarianism within our communities.
