Our first ever event with the Wales National Team prior to their game against England
This was a fantastic event for us, a first of its kind, one which we are already looking to build on and repeat for next season, a big thank you to Ceri and the FAW for helping make it happen
Jason Webber - Campaign Worker
Our first ever “club style” event with the Welsh National team took place at their training base in the Vale of Glamorgan prior to their crucial game against England.
Pupils from Evenlode primary school which included pupils that won the overall prize in our Schools completion 2010 attended the special all day event.
Pupils watched the players train in the morning session that followed an anti racist educational workshop by our education team.
Welsh players Craig Bellamy, Chris Gunter and Boaz Myhill attended for the afternoon session who spoke about their experiences of racism while playing for club and country.
The panel proved to be the best ever in Wales with some fantastic messages and advice for the young people attending.
The best asked question won a pair of Cardiff City tickets for an up coming game.
We would like to thank the FAW and the players for a momentous occasion.
We are working with the FAW to arrange another event with the Welsh squad next season.
Visit our Facebook page for more photos, an full video of the event will be available soon.
