We are saddened to learn of Bryan's cancer diagnosis and send our best wishes
Bryan Robson captained England and Manchester United. He collected over 90 caps for England and appeared almost 500 times for Manchester United, having begun his career at West Bromwich Albion FC. He has also managed Middlesbrough FC (initially as player/manager), Bradford City FC, West Bromwich Albion FC and Sheffield United FC. Bryan won the Premier League, FA Cup, Football League Cup, Charity Shield, UEFA Cup Winners Cup and the European Super Cup during his time with Manchester United FC. He was awarded an OBE in 1990 for his contribution to football and has attended many SRtRC events.
Bryan Robson has been a patron of Show Racism the Red Card for many years and has been inducted into our Hall of Fame for his commitment to anti-racism. His support, as such a high profile figure in the world of football, has an impact on both young people and also in encouraging other players, ex-players and managers to get involved. The support of high profile professional footballers and managers is pivotal to the success of the SRtRC campaign.
Our team's thoughts are with Bryan Robson - we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
