Now available to watch: a clip of 'Rivals Not Enemies' our new anti-sectarian educational film.
New from Show Bigotry the Red Card: Rivals Not Enemies.
Show Bigotry the Red Card is first and foremost an anti-sectarian campaign recognising sectarianism to be a societal problem. We aim to combat sectarian attitudes and behaviour by utilising the role model status of footballers and celebrities to present positive and strong anti-sectarian messages in society at large.
This 20 minute anti-sectarian educational film aims to raise awareness and stimulate constructive debate on the issue of sectarianism while encouraging fans to support their team and celebrate their identity in a positive manner.
The film has the potential to reach a wide variety of people in Scottish society: from young people in education to adults in the workplace, from football supporters of all allegiances to people working in the football industry.
The accompanying education pack mirrors the film's narrative and it is divided in to four main sections, each compromising of topical points for discussion, a variety of learning outcomes and a series of group-based activities adhering to the new Curriculum for Excellence.
Featuring: Craig Brown, Stephen Craigan, Craig Gordon, Scott MacDonald, Barry Robson, Elaine C Smith, Gordon Smith, Micheal Stewart and Fraswer Wishart.
