Before Newcastle United's home game against Stoke City this Sunday, Show Racism the Red Card were given the opportunity to have a pitch side presentation in aid of our bid to become FA Charity of the Year 2011. Mayor of North Tyneside Coucil, Linda Arkley, Leader of Newcastle City Counci, David Faulkner and Emmerdale actress and Show Racism the Red Card patron, Charlie Hardwick were joined by 17 Newcastle United squad members, as well as manager Chris Hughton and our own coaches and ex-Newcastle United players John Anderson and Olivier Bernard; all of whom have pledged their support.
The squad members who signed up included captain Kevin Nolan, Ryan Taylor, James Perch, Nile Ranger, Cheik Tiote, Joey Barton, Andy Carroll, Wayne Routledge, Tim Krul, Peter Lovenkrands, Fabricio Coloccini, Mike Williamson, Shola Ameobi, Leon Best, Hatem Ben Arfa, Sanchez Jose Enrique and Joans Gutierrez.
