The world as we know it is changing before our eyes...
The world as we know it is changing before our eyes. From the African continent hosting this year's World Cup and the countless faces who have graced Show Racism the Red Card's events, films and magazines who are now gracing the pitches across South Africa proudly in their national colours.
As sites such as YouTube, Facebook and countless others continue to change the way we meet, learn, experience and share with others, even I have given in to the Facebook era! But the more I embrace the social aspect of this new digital age the more this age reinforces my own beliefs in the core values of Show Racism the Red Card.
As Show Racism the Red Card has grown and embraced this 'new way' of doing things, still maintaining the core values on which the campaign was founded all those years ago, it is further evidence that we as people are infinitely 'better' (dare I say) when we share our own experiences and are open to those of others. When we can smile together, play together, when we share in each others hurt, even when our histories tell different tales, we are somehow better.
