Cardiff Arms Park was the venue for our first event with the Blues Rugby club.
It should not be tolerated anywhere, especially in sport. One of my fellow players Ma’ma Molitika was subject to racism in Newport and my advice to anyone suffering from racism is to rise above it.

The occasion also launched the partnership with the future Blues community department at the club through Cardiff Council.
Our event in Cardiff with the Blues was attended by 90 school children from St.John Lloyd, Marlborough Junior and Ysgol Mynydd Bychan who all came prepared with many questions for the panel.
Blues players Dafydd Hewitt and Mark Lewis along with Mizan Rahman, who is a SRtRC Welsh Advisory Committee member and works for the Welsh Football Turst as a football inclusion officer were represented on the panel.
A pilot SRtRC - Cardiff Blues film clip was shown that included footage of Blues try’s this season along with Welsh rugby international players.
The players talked about their experiences of racism in rugby giving an example of when a team member received racism during a game recently. The Blues players encouraged the school children to report racism if they came across it and to support anyone who was a victim.
The winner of the best asked question received match tickets for an upcoming game along with the winner and runners up having Blues rugby balls.
SRTRC would like to thank Mike Williams, Liz Chanellor, Chris Ower and Richard Hodges from the Blues, players Dafydd Hewitt and Mark Lewis for their participation along with all the schools for their involvement.
